These are my own personal terms that I have created to express important parts of social dynamics.
Model and Refine Method: a process that describes how to learn social skills as an adult — you step out of your comfort zone to do something new. You use someone who is good socially or a good social behavior and try to copy them. You fail or struggle, but ultimately learn a lot about yourself as well as the skill, and you choose to keep what you like. As you repeat this Expand-Contract-Repeat process, you will eventually develop the social skill and use it in a way that is appropriate to you.
Social Leverage: having many social circles or adept social skills so that you easily choose to avoid, ignore, or avoid relationships that are not beneficial or toxic. The opposite is being stuck with someone, in which case, beggars can’t be choosers :(.
